Lightweight Baby!

Saturday...I apparently forgot that today was Saturday.
So here is my late blog!

How was everyone's week? I hope it was exciting. Not as exciting as next week
though. Monday February 1st, is the day that The Latency's new single
"Fork In The Road" hits radio in Canada! I dunno about you but I`m pretty
stoked! On that day Me and the other boys will be doing a live UStream party
to celebrate at 4PM PST, 7PM EST.

Check that out here: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftinyurl.com%2Flatencypremiere&h=c6cb4b35d0f9046d3bc773f7ca5d3a3e

I`m excited to get back on Ustream and talk to you all again. Also if you live
in the Vancouver area Virgin Radio Vancouver 95.3 will be premeiring the
song at 5PM PST!

Well now that I`m finished promoting lol lets talk!
So I have a few thoughts and thanks I`d like to extend to you guys now.

Last week I posted a bit of lyrics on here and asked for your thoughts.
Thank you for your comments. Its about something I`ve been thinking
about alot lately. When we`re young, we`re blessed with innocence, and hope,
and dreams, and all these big things that we want to achieve in life. Then we
grow up and slowly but surely life tears us down, rips us apart, chews us up
and spits us right back out. Unfortunately alot of us lose those things we had.
We forget what it means to dream with hope. We stop believing in things and
start to settle for them. But I think if you can manage to hold on to just one
little piece of that youthful innocence, Just a bit of that soul, Just enough to
help you remember whats really important, I think that you will finally get to
where you`ve always wanted to be. Thats the general thought that inspired
the lyrics. I guess I`m in a very defiant headspace right now :P

I`m working on turning them into a song right now. Maybe I`ll post more on
here and you guys can help me out next week :)

Well thats enough of my ranting, I wish you all an excellent week and hope
to talk to you on Monday for the `Fork In The Road release party. And while
we`re in the mood just remember:

When life kicks you kick back harder
If life wins you come back smarter
And whenever someone TELLS you, you can`t do something
SHOW them that you can.

Love.
Brandon

Beautiful beautiful beautiful...
I can't wait until this is turned into a song.
I feel a bit odd, leaving the first comment.
I'm totally infatuated with the idea of this song-to-be... I think that it's really difficult to keep that innocence once we are exposed to a society that is so dispersed and "vulgar" - if you will. The lack of unity and support is almost scary. But it's true - if we're the lucky ones that can hold onto hope and truly believe that anything is possible in our minds, then we can manifest it in reality. If we can taste it, hear it, smell it, it's real.
Stoked to hear for more stuffsss.
And I AM down to party on Monday hahaha
Hope all is welllllllllllllllll with y'all
Emily

You reminded me of the "little prince"

"When we`re young, we`re blessed with innocence, and hope,
and dreams, and all these big things that we want to achieve in life. Then we
grow up and slowly but surely life tears us down, rips us apart, chews us up
and spits us right back out."

So I don't know if you remember, but back in Ottawa there were these two kids holding a sign saying "Please play fork in the road" AHEM, that was meeee!! :) I can't wait for the release party of it as a single! I might just be more excited than you.
Talk to you soon.
Yours Truly, B.

Yesterday I was up early hoping you'd blog, and I guess you finally remembered it was saturday after I went to bed, hah! gotta love EST time.

PS: The Kids video is playing on TV as I'm typing you this!

I agree! I can say that my week will be 10x better after tomorrow! I'm going to the mall, but most importantly I'm very excited to catch the premiere of the single (even though I'm in Ontario, I'll be listening online!) and of course, the video chat! Wouldn't miss it for anything! :)

I always look forward to your blogs. They give all of us something to think about, and I'm excited to hear that the poem will be turned into a song! I knew that would happen. It has alot of potential!

I'll put up a fight and kick back harder! Thanks!
Can't wait to hear from you again tomorrow at the FITR Ustream chat! xo

You can count me in for the Ustream chat. =)

It's hard to keep your childhood innocence with the way the world has changed.
I don't want to grow old, because I don't want to lose all the things I love so much now that may not matter because I can't reach them anymore or something has changed. The fact that I am going to be twenty this year has gotten me thinking in the same mind set, I don't want to to lose who I am in time.

The saying is true, you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Within reason, if you say I can't, then you probably can't but you'll never know unless you take a leap and try.
